Description
Venus's birth (1482-1485) is at the Uffizi Gallery in Florence, painted by Alessandro Filipepi, better known as Sandro Botticelli. Venus represents love as motive force, symbol of purity, simplicity and beauty of the soul. The pipe colour recalls Venus blond and soft mane. Rustic, brown finishing, smooth rim. Model 305 has a very particula conical bowl. The shank linking the bowl to the tapered stem has a triangular shape.
