La storia Savinelli inizia nel 1876 quando Achille Savinelli Sr. apre nel centro di Milano uno dei primi negozi al mondo che vende esclusivamente articoli per fumatori.
Nel 1948 Achille Jr. aprì la manifattura, e le pipe Savinelli cominciarono ad acquistare prestigio in tutti i mercati. Achille riuscì a creare un prodotto di lusso che potè competere con i grandi nomi e anche sorpassare la loro qualità, tanto che oggi Savinelli rappresenta il più alto standard qualitativo della pipa a livello mondiale.
Nel corso degli anni sono state create centinaia di serie diverse che si distinguono per il design elegante e la cura dei dettagli. In 1783, the first balloon flight took place. In 1881, Otto Lilienthal invented the glider. Then, in 1903, the Wright brothers built the first powered airplane. The sixth pipe in the Leonardo da Vinci series, produced in a limited edition in 2012, features a silver bas-relief that reproduces the artist's original design.

New Dry System

In 1981, after years of research, Savinelli introduced the Dry System, which consists of a reservoir and a balsa filter. The term "dry" refers to the balsa filters, while "system" describes the reservoir located inside the shank, connected to the mouthpiece. The balsa absorbs moisture from the smoke immediately, resulting in a drier smoking experience.

We have selected the 106 model, a favorite of Achille, who had a passion for straight pipes, and have finished it in a mysterious coral hue that has remained highly sought after over the years. A 4-gram sterling silver band, engraved with the number 8 in various sizes and positions, accentuates the ongoing evolution of the philosophy, elegance, and design of Savinelli pipes.

Giancarlo Savinelli was born and raised in an environment filled with the scent of briar wood. He grew up listening to discussions about grain patterns and birdseye finishes, and he witnessed the creation of various models and series. This upbringing has enabled him to recognize the unique and precious grain of briar and appreciate the time needed to identify these characteristics in a pipe.
The ideal grain is compact and linear, typically originating from a birdseye focal point. This pipe features a black acrylic mouthpiece, which adds a touch of timeless elegance. Each piece is rare and unique, personally selected by Giancarlo Savinelli, and bears his signature in silver on the mouthpiece.

This tribute celebrates the 50th anniversary of the first moon landing in 1969 by American astronauts Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin. It features only 50 numbered pieces of a model 321 pipe. The pipe is semi-curved, made of natural materials with a rustic finish that resembles the lunar surface. It includes a white acrylic mouthpiece reminiscent of the moon, along with inlays that reflect the colors of the American flag.
